FAQ

MOQ, sampling, quality standards and delivery

Common questions about Kaixin Socks: OEM MOQ 5,000 pairs and custom styles from 2,000 sets, sampling and dropshipping supported, baby socks meeting GB 31701-2015 Class A with a batch inspection report, and production aligned with OEKO-TEX® Standard 100, REACH and CPSIA.

Orders and delivery

  • Is there a minimum order quantity for a first order, and how large is it?

OEM labelling starts at 5,000 pairs and custom styles start at 2,000 sets. Kaixin also supports low-MOQ light customization and small in-stock purchases, so smaller merchants and startup brands can run a trial order first, validate market response and then move into volume production without committing to large inventory up front.

  • Do you support dropshipping, and will popular sizes go out of stock?

Yes, dropshipping is supported. Kaixin holds core best-sellers in stock all year so online sellers can list products without holding inventory, reducing capital tied up and dead-stock risk. In-stock core styles ship quickly, and for long-term dropship partnerships the staple styles and stock levels can be agreed during style selection.

  • What is the lead time for volume orders?

Lead time depends on style complexity, order quantity and whether a new pattern must be developed. The standard approach is to schedule production by order volume once the sample is approved, with delivery dates agreed in writing when the order is confirmed. Annual capacity is 3 million pairs and routine monthly shipments are 400,000 pairs, so sustained volume is feasible. Incoming materials are sampled at no less than 5% and production is inspected every two hours so both schedule and quality stay under control.

  • Can we place a small trial order first?

Yes. Kaixin supports low-MOQ light customization and small in-stock purchases, which suits startup brands and smaller merchants validating market response. A trial order can adjust colour, lace trim or packaging on an existing fit, and once it succeeds the same process standards carry straight into volume production.

Customization and sampling

  • Can you produce a sample, and how long does sampling take?

Yes. Because Kaixin owns all 60 knitting machines and its technical team, sampling does not queue behind an external factory. Pattern files can be imported straight into the machines to verify needle selection, and the sample is delivered once the pattern is confirmed accurate. The exact number of days depends on style complexity and is confirmed per style when we talk.

  • What can be customized?

Customization covers five areas: style (patterns, motifs and colours combined freely), size (adjusted by foot length or age band across 0-12 years and adults), fabric (cotton content from 60% to 80% plus functional fibres such as antibacterial or mulberry silk), packaging (brand labels, hangtags and polybags aligned to your VI system) and function (anti-slip dot coating, antibacterial, moisture-wicking and thermal options).

  • I do not have a ready style — can you develop one for me?

Yes. Kaixin has in-house ODM capability, with designers, process engineers and pattern specialists who follow market trends and the wearing needs of babies and children and can independently take a new style from concept through pattern design, fit revision and process implementation. The usual approach is for us to suggest styles or revisions based on your positioning, then move to sampling and volume production once the direction is agreed.

Quality standards

  • Do your baby socks comply with national standards, and which safety class do they meet?

Baby socks strictly follow GB 18401-2010 and GB 31701-2015 and meet the Class A safety category: formaldehyde at or below 20 mg/kg and pH between 4.0 and 7.5. Children's and adult socks meet at least Class B. Lace, bows, ribbons and similar decorative attachments are individually pull-tested, no small parts of 3 mm or less are used, and no cords are placed at the head or neck of products for infants and children under seven.

  • Can you provide a quality inspection report?

Yes. A quality inspection report is available for every batch, so quality can be traced. The company runs an item-level traceability system with unique codes, and finished goods complete 11 internal quality tests plus a full visual inspection before dispatch, targeting a 100% outbound pass rate.

  • Can your products be exported, and which international standards can you meet?

Yes, export orders are accepted and produced to export standards. The quality system can align with OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 (suitable for Class II products in direct skin contact, covering more than 1,000 harmful substances), the EU REACH regulation and US CPSIA testing requirements. Export packaging and labelling can be adjusted to destination-market requirements.

  • Will patterns stay consistent across a batch?

Yes. Kaixin runs WHL2_A8 fully automatic circular knitting machines with pattern import and jacquard needle-selection functions that reproduce complex motifs accurately. Before a patterned style runs, the pattern file is imported and needle selection verified; volume production only starts once the pattern is confirmed free of misalignment and dropped stitches, so shape, colour and texture stay consistent across the batch.

Cooperation and payment

  • Can we visit the factory for an audit first?

Factory audits are welcome. The plant is at Room 202, Building 2, No. B99 Huancheng North Road, Houzhai Street, Yiwu, Jinhua, Zhejiang, and includes a raw material store, knitting workshop, toe-closing workshop, finishing workshop, finished-goods inspection area and finished-goods warehouse. You can see the 60 fully automatic knitting machines running and review inspection records on site. Please book through the online form in advance so we can assign a contact person.

  • How do payment and invoicing work?

VAT invoices are available with a 2% invoicing point. The exact payment method and milestones are agreed before cooperation based on order value, delivery batches and customer type, and written into the agreement. It helps to mention your preferred settlement terms in the online inquiry so we can include a proposal with our quotation.

  • Besides volume manufacturing, what other ways can we work together?

Kaixin supports several models: OEM labelling, ODM development, sample-based customization, rapid sampling, low-MOQ light customization, stock supply and dropshipping, and bulk wholesale with long-term manufacturing. Whether you are a startup brand still choosing styles or a wholesaler needing stable long-term supply, describe your needs on the contact page and we will propose a suitable model.

Products and styles

  • What is the cotton content, and is it suitable for babies?

The core range is knitted socks made from quality yarns with 60%-80% cotton plus spandex-covered yarn. Baby socks use a high-cotton, soft and skin-friendly fabric with a seamless toe and relaxed rib cuff to reduce friction and pressure marks, making them suitable for next-to-skin wear by infants. If you need higher cotton content or a different fibre ratio, it can be configured during fabric customization.

  • How are sizes divided, and which age groups are covered?

Products cover 0-12 years and adults, segmented by foot length or age band. Main series include baby socks (0-3), kids socks (3-12), princess socks (3-12), non-slip and floor socks (babies and toddlers), mulberry silk socks (kids and adults) and sports socks (kids and adults). If you need different segmentation or intermediate sizes, this can be adjusted during size customization.
